A couple of weeks ago I took the last piece in my Trout Pond series to the new Visitor’s Center at Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. It was purchased through the State of Wisconsin’s Percent for Art program which enables state institutions to connect with artists throughout the state and buy artworks for their buildings.

The marsh is the largest freshwater wetland of its type in the United States and is designated as a Wetland of Importance. Management of the refuge is shared by both the federal government (northern two-thirds) and the State of Wisconsin.
