Pewit’s Nest is a natural area in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Last week we were treated to early Spring weather in Wisconsin and my co-workers and I headed out to explore. This photo is a composite of the woods atop Pewit’s Nest. Skillet Creek runs through this landscape and there’s a small waterfall. It’s becoming a better known place to nature photographers, and – unfortunately – to local kids who hang out and drink (litter).
This is a view from the top of the bluff looking down onto the creek. Pewit’s Nest is a great place to bird watch, too. Soon the Spring Warblers will arrive and Pewit’s is a perfect place to see a wide variety of different species.
